PETERSENfam-12Petersen Family Farm is offering a limited amount of CSA shares during the coming crop year. CSA is an opportunity to help support local farming by pre-paying for the upcoming seasons produce. You share in some of the production risk we take on as farmers and also help us out by providing us with some of the capital we need to prepare and plant our fields with the produce you love. In return, we provide you with to quality, fresh produce at a very competitive price.
This years CSA will only be available for pick up at the farm. We are working our program slightly different this year in response to our last years customers feedback and our own past experience. In addition to the produce we grow on our farm, this year we will be including some fruit as it is available from other local growers. Also, this year we will be offering pick up only at the farm. This will allow us to give you some more choice in the items you purchase.
Here are the details:
PICK UP DATES AND TIMES
Tuesday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
PICK UP PROCEDURE
We plan to have about 7-9 different items per week. You will pick up a shopping list each week when you come into the farm market. There will be a list of 5 or 6 items that you must include in your share and list of a few items that you can choose from to finish out your share. This will allow you some more flexibility to better meet your families specific tastes and needs.
Summer Produce Share: $250 (16 Weeks starting mid June)

Example of typical weekly produce (about ½ bushel per week or 15-25 lbs)
Spring Weeks:
Peas, beans, spring salad mix, beets, carrots, spinach, Sweet Cherries
Summer Weeks:
Summer squash, beans, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, sweet corn, Apricots Raspberries
Fall Weeks:
Beans, beets, carrots, onions, potatoes, winter squash, pie pumpkins, Peaches Pears Apples
