About our CSA, Basin Baskets:
We have teamed up with other Basin Farmers to create a CSA called Basin Baskets. Basin Baskets is for those in the Uintah Basin wanting weekly access to locally grown, chemical-free produce, eggs, and other farm fresh goods.
Summer of 2016 is our first season as a CSA and we're very excited! Our summer season is from June - September and baskets are available for purchase through our website (www.heritagefamilygardens.com
We have a Vernal drop-off on Tuesday afternoons from 4-6 p.m. and a Farm pick-up on Thursday afternoons from 4-6 p.m.
You can plan on 8 - 12 different vegetables each week in your basket, a variety of beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, corn, cucumbers, green beans, green onions, lettuce, spinach, swiss chard, tomatoes, onions, peas, potatoes, peppers, radishes, squash, zucchini, cilantro, parsley, basil, sage, oregano, mint, thyme. We also offer weekly egg shares at this time and will soon be offering milk, bread, fruit, honey and meat shares.
Head over to www.heritagefamilygardens.com and click on the Basin Baskets page for more information and to sign up!
Heritage Family Gardens is a family farm committed to growing truly healthy vegetables. We have a 20+ acre farm with a 1.5 acre market garden of beyond organic produce (meaning we use absolutely zero chemicals with emphasis on soil health and vitality).
We know that healthy soil produces the healthiest and most nutritious vegetables, so we build and nourish the soil, first and foremost. A healthy vegetable is not just the absence of pesticides, it needs to have all of the minerals and nutrients available for flavor and nutrition to be at its peak!
We also sell farm fresh eggs. These eggs are from happy free-range chickens raised naturally without hormones or antibiotics. You can taste the difference!
We are passionate about nutrition and proper growing practices. Our family suffered from chronic illness and disease for many years. We found dramatic changes in diet to be the best treatment plan. Our diet, along with other lifestyle and mindset changes, has actually cured our physical and mental illnesses.
This discovery opened our eyes to the importance of being wise stewards over the land and animals. Having always enjoyed gardening as a hobby, we began doing more and more research which led us back to our family heritage of agriculture. We love farming; we love healthy produce, and we would love to share our delicious produce with you!
