Thurber, Ph.D Phone: 801-651-5953 DELECTATION of TOMATOES, etc. CSA Share Agreement for 2012 The major purpose of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) arrangement is to give people the opportunity to obtain the freshest, healthiest, tastiest, all-natural, locally grown food possible – food grown without chemical pesticides, fertilizers or other potentially harmful additives. One CSA share is intended to provide ample fresh produce for one person for 5+ months, but you’re welcome to split your share with others. Families might consider purchasing two or more shares. For more information about CSA’s, visit http://www.csautah.org/. Delectation of Tomatoes (www.delectationoftomatoes.com ) is a micro-farming endeavor est. in 2011, located at 3170 W. Lehman Ave. (3590 S.), West Valley City, Utah 84119 (Thurber family garden), with a 1/8-acre addition at 5022 S. Jordan Canal Road (Eyre family garden). In 2012, we are growing: More than 250 varieties of tomatoes, mostly heirlooms, of all sizes, colors & shapes! >50 varieties of sweet and hot peppers >30 varieties of melons and cucumbers >25 varieties of squash and pumpkins Lots more – beans, lettuce, carrots, beets, herbs, broccoli, peas etc. This comes to nearly 400 varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables from which you will get to sample each week from May into November. Please join now and share in this amazing bounty of the earth! For each share purchased, Delectation of Tomatoes agrees to provide you with: • A basket of fresh produce once a week for 20+ weeks beginning in May. • As far as possible, each basket will contain 15+ lbs. of premium, fresh-picked (within 6 hrs.), naturally produced vegetables which have been grown in soil enriched with >70 trace minerals. • Assuming crops produce as expected, each share will likely include at least 125 lbs. of tomatoes (our specialty!!), distributed as available from Late June into early November. By signing up below, you agree, for each share, to: • Pick up your basket between 4-7 p.m. on the weekday agreed upon verbally. • Wash your own produce and return your empty basket in good condition each week. • Contribute $400 (by cash or check, payable to Delectation of Tomatoes), due by March 1st (this helps us purchase seeds, starting supplies, soil amendments, etc.) or $450 by May 1st. • Receive a $20 refund for each person you recruit who signs up and pays by May 1st - offer limited to 3 recruits and only until all available CSA slots are filled. • Please give us at least 24 hrs. notice if you will not be able to pick up your produce at the scheduled time. • REFERENCES (CSA customers from 2011): Rosalie (801-966-8200) Trista (801-647-2303) Please call/text/email Dale for more info: 801-651-5953, dale@gianttomatoseeds.com.
