Appenzell Farm

Appenzell Farm is a sustainable, grass-based farm producing pastured eggs, chicken, turkey, rabbit, beef, and pork as well as fruit and produce. Our farming practices reflect our commitment to produce wholesome food naturally, humanely, and without unnecessary chemical inputs. We continually strive to improve our farming techniques to please even the most discerning and sensitive customers. While we are not certified organic for instance, we continue to raise our standards year to year in regard to important issues such as GMOs, environmental impact, carbon emissions, and water conservation. Additionally we continue to increase our support of heritage and traditional breeds in our animal production and heirloom varieties of fruit and produce in our orchards and gardens.

 All products are available in seasonal CSA shares, or for individual-item purchase. Shares and additional items can be viewed and purchased on our website. Early sign-up is usually necessary for our summer season CSA which runs from May to November. CSA shares can be picked up at the farm in Hyde Park, or at the Cache Valley Gardeners’ Market in Logan. Additional drop-off locations are being evaluated based on demand.

Our CSA shares are purchased by paying an initial sum into a farm account. This allows customers to make multiple payments to their account throughout the season. Customers opting to initially pay for a larger portion of their share, or the full share price will enjoy additional savings.
